Mepilex Ag is an antimicrobial foam dressing containing silver (Ag), designed to treat wounds with a risk of infection. It provides moist wound healing while releasing silver ions to kill bacteria.

🔹 Burn wounds (including second-degree burns)
🔹 Pressure ulcers (bedsores)
🔹 Leg and foot ulcers
🔹 Surgical wounds
🔹 Traumatic wounds (cuts, abrasions, skin tears)
🔹 Infected wounds or wounds at risk of infection

1. Clean the wound – Use saline or an antiseptic solution.

2. Dry the surrounding skin – Ensure proper adhesion.

3. Apply the dressing – Place Mepilex Ag with the silver side facing the wound.

4. Secure it – Use a secondary dressing or bandage if needed.

5. Change as needed – Can stay in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound condition.

⚠️ Not suitable for patients with silver allergies.
⚠️ Avoid use on dry wounds or necrotic tissue.
⚠️ May interact with MRI scans due to silver content.
⚠️ Consult a doctor before use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
